Conference Information (.pdf)

The joint meeting of these groups will begin with a less formal joint meeting in Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA for two days prior to the beginning of the annual meeting of the AAG, to be held in Boston, Massachusetts.

During the first two days of the AAG meeting in Boston we are planning an Indigenous focused symposium which will contain a series of paper sessions, panels and our plenary speaker, Dr. Dan Wildcat from Haskell Indian Nations University. This symposium is conceived as a way to bring Indigenous geographies to the forefront in the discipline as a whole and will showcase our research and methodological work. We are hoping that more of you will step forward with ideas for paper sessions or panels and send out ‘calls for papers’ to either list-serve. The AAG deadline for organizing sessions is November 30, 2007.

If you have any questions concerning the joint meeting please contact IPKRC Chair and AAG-IPSG Co-Chair Jay Johnson (jjohnson18 [at] unl.edu) or Renee Louis, secretary of the IPKRC, (mapdr [at] earthlink.net). If you have questions concerning submitting an abstract or organizing a session please contact Doug Herman, secretary of the IPSG, (hermand [at] si.edu).

The IPKRC site is hosted by the Global Indigenous Nations Studies Program at the University of Kansas
