Biography

Marilyn Ellis is a MA student in the Indigenous Studies Program at KU. 

- Research focus on Indigenous well-being in Anishnaabe Seven Grandfather teachings 
- American Indian College fund recipient for 2025-2026 school year, Dean's Honor roll 2025 school year for Haskell Indian Nations University 
- Future goal is to work with tribal communities as a retention specialist in some capacity 
- Worked with Manny King as a student intern part of the White Bear Student Committee. I helped with student mental health events focused on wellbeing
