Biography —
ᎣᏏᏲ (si-yo, hello), Tyler Moore here, I am a citizen of the Cherokee Nation and a Graduate student in the University of Kansas Indigenous Studies Program. I am interested in looking at the close cultural connections Indigenous groups have with their ecological surroundings, and how that affects both historic and contemporary Indigenous communities. I have graduated from Haskell Indian Nations University with my bachelor’s in Indigenous and American Indian Studies, and while there, I had the honor of being the 2024-2025 Haskell Brave, alongside being the spring 2025 graduating student of the year. I would like to one day attain my PhD in North American Indigenous studies and then use all that I have learned to be a good steward for the future.
